At the end of February, I turned from an urban high school to an urban middle college. The differences between your two were astounding. I almost always learned my lesson, though. Lessons discovered by experience will stick to you a lot more than advice from your teacher or a book on teaching. I spent my Spring Break filling out job applications to nearly every single school region within a one-hour radius. April In, I had fashioned two job interviews.
